Antigua Sailing Week, one of the worlds top regattas, has become one of the most popular events on the international sailing calendar with an entrance of more then 260 yachts, some with 30 plus crew.

The home of the regatta is English Harbour which provides a fantastic historical setting for the race village.

You can’t mention Antigua Race Week without shouting Party Party!!, the famous Mount Gay Drinks party on the opening Friday, Dickenson Bay beach party at the finish of race one, Jolly Harbour and  two lay days need we say more!!

We  will be traveling out 7 days before the start of Race Week meeting our yacht in Antigua on the Sunday, following which we will enjoy some of the best cruising grounds in the world before arriving at the race village on Thursday in time to take part in the traditional start of Race Week party on Pigon Point Beach

The fleet is split in to two divisions, A & B. Division A is for the out and out racer. We will be entering Division B Cruiser racer and bareboat. The racing is just as competitive but with boats more suited to the amateur sailor.

Don’t be put off if you have never raced or sailed before. During the first week of cruising we will ensure that all the crew are well trained in their roles and with two days race training immediately prior to the 5 race series, you will be very capable of making a real contribution to the yacht performance.

Temperatures range between 85 – 95 degrees. Trade winds provide for cooling breezes and magic sailing (high factor sun screen needed)
