 Reach
4 the Wind specialises in sailing courses, holidays and yacht
charter. With bases in
Palma, Mallorca and Ocean Village, Southampton we have built an
excellent reputation for high standards of tuition and personal
service.
Our main training yachts are a
Bavaria 38 (Palma
- Mallorca) and a
Sun Odyssey 35, (Southampton) both yachts are equipped to
the highest of standards and meet the stringent UK MCA Code
of Practice safety standards.
In addition to our RYA training courses which are available
throughout the year, we also offer a number of specialist training
opportunities outside the RYA Cruising Scheme. All our training
weekends are run by RYA Instructors.

RYA Practical Courses - Palma Mallorca

In Mallorca we offer RYA
Practical Sailing courses from Competent Crew to Coastal Skipper
(Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper are both Non Tidal).
 Our
Palma based
courses are run over six days (seven nights) this allows for a more relaxed time, and
fits into a normal “holiday week” The course will run from 5.00 pm
Saturday to Friday afternoon. You are welcome to arrive any time on
the Saturday and we would be back in our home marina on the Friday
evening leaving Saturday flexible for your return.
We operate all year
round, during your time with us you will spend 6 days aboard
the yacht visiting many of the beautiful harbours and anchorages. We
will be stopping at some
stunning over night locations for example, Santa Ponsa, Puerto de Andraitx, Port
de Soller, Port d Alcudia, Porto Cristo with magical lunch time
stops as Sant Elm and Sa Calobrs.
Our
instructors are English and all fully qualified RYA instructors, chosen not only
for their training ability but also their relaxed and friendly
personalities.
Our training yacht a
Bavaria 38 is in outstanding condition and is fully coded to the UK
"MCA Code of Practice" ensuring that the condition and all safety
equipment is in accordance with the stringent UK Maritime Coastal
Agency requirements
Our home port is
Real Club
Nautico de Palma, the marina is approximately 10 minutes taxi ride
from the airport.

RYA Practical Courses - Southampton
|
In the UK we
offer all RYA Practical Sailing courses from “Start Yachting
Weekends” to “Yachtmaster”. All courses can be undertaken over 5 or
7 days or by arrangement 2 long weekends.
We offer the
choice of undertaking your 5 day RYA Courses from Friday to
Wednesday, Thursday to Tuesday including the weekend, or the
standard Monday to Friday and a nine day intensive Day Skipper
Theory and Practical Course
Operating all year round in
the sheltered waters of the Solent we are able to conduct courses
safely and comfortably in almost all weather conditions.
Our
instructors are all fully qualified professionals, chosen not only
for their training ability but also their relaxed and friendly
personalities.

RYA Practical Sailing Courses
|
Our UK sailing courses are fully
inclusive we have no hidden extras and includes:
accommodation on board, mooring fees, all meals eaten on board, use
of wet weather gear.
(Mooring fees are additional for our Palma based Course)
High Season : April -
September
Low Season : October - March
** The price
excludes the RYA Examination Fee which will be charged at cost (ICC
free to RYA Members).
So you can learn in the familiar environment of your own boat and
crew, we can teach you anything from a full RYA course to maybe just
a day’s instruction, focusing on your own individual requirements.
Instruction can be arranged any time that is suitable for you, for a
minimum of one day. The boat is to be of a suitable and safe
standard. Mooring fees, diesel, food and travelling for the
instructor are not included.
Own boat Tuition
costs £200 per day for two persons, additional persons are charged
at £25 per day. The instructor's travel and subsistence will be
charged at cost.
