Reach 4 the Wind, our Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35, is available for Bareboat Charter and is based in Ocean Village Marina, Southampton. Ocean Village has immediate access into Southampton Water at all states of the tide. From here, the Solent, Cowes in the south, Chichester Harbour in the east to Lymington and Yarmouth in the west, provide some of the best sailing in the country, with a wide and varied range of marinas, harbours and estuaries to explore.
For the skippers who wish greater distances Reach 4 the Wind is DoT/MCA coded Cat 2 (up to 60 miles from safe haven) which is suitable for those long weekend trips to France and the Channel Islands.
We pride ourselves on the standard and quality of our yachts, each of which have an extensive Inventory that is rigorously checked and serviced prior to each charter.

Reach 4 the Wind is available on a daily, weekly or weekend basis. Helly Hensen and Musto wet weather gear and a symmetric spinnaker are available at a small additional cost.

Designed by Bruce Farr, the First 40.7 combines a sleek and sophisticated racer with all the creature comforts of a luxurious cruiser. Her hull and powerful fractional rig produces top level racing performance. Elegant cabin design affords space below and features outstandingly high levels of comfort. The extra-roomy cockpit incorporates removable lockers that make for flexible stowage capacity and less weight for racing. Depending upon the charter requirement, the Beneteau First 40.7's come fully equipped with an excellent selection of top quality racing or cruising sails (including spinnakers), leading brand hardware, ropes and electronics, gas and diesel fuel
The 40.7 is a very quick and competitive yacht. They have had many successes, the most recent of which is overall winner of the 2003 Sydney - Hobart, in both IRC and IMS. Closer to home a 40.7 won IRC class 1 in the 2003 RORC series and another was second in the hotly contested IRC class 3 at Skandia Cowes Week 2003.
Our yachts are also available for JOG, RORC, RTIR, Little Britain Challenge Cup, Cork Week, Ramsgate Week and Cowes Week. They are fully equipped, competitive and come with a full wardrobe of racing sails. The final result is down to you! They are available either Bareboat — subject to the skipper and crews qualifications / racing experience — or with a professional Yacht master skipper.
